Echocentrics does a fantastic rendition and cover of Aaliyah’s ‘We Need A Resolution’.  Originally from Austin, Texas the group has the most amazing and unique sounds for covering one of the most well respected artists of our time (Aaliyah).  They even sing the lyrics in Portuguese, which I’m pretty sure may be a first for any R&B or hip-hop song, but none the less an amazing rendition of one of the most amazing songs ever! Jeep unveiled a new production-intent concept “Grand Cherokee Laredo X model” in the 2012 Houston Auto Show and 2012 Washington D.C. Auto Show. Included in the blackout are the front grille (with Platinum Chrome mesh inserts), headlamp bezels and liftgate light bar. Platinum Chrome is also used on the lower front fascia.

Recently, Lil’ Wayne fêted the launch of his new clothing label TRUKFIT at Manhattan’s Hotel Americano amid a few famous friends and a flurry of silver men. It was a typically unconventional event for the rapper, whose wacky clothing sensibilities now have a creative and commercial outlet of their own.

Sporting a vague “future skateboarder” feel, TRUKFIT’s clothing reflects the rapper’s eclectic tastes in sports, culture, technology and, of course, music. Camouflage cargo shorts, video game graphics and Beats by Dre headphones figured heavily into the looks on display, though we’ve since learned that many more looks will be unveiled for the line’s online arrival later this month. For the past year, Urban Noize has been known for surprising folks by blending the vocal talents of celebrated artists and mash them into one song. His latest mix is a true clash of musical power as it contains elements of Jay-Z and Pharrell’s “Allure” and Lana Del Rey Here is what the song’s creator had to say about this fusion.

“The concept of this remix is built like Lana Del Rey is playing Jay-Z’s “Allure” while continually pleading him to come back to her. However, he, knowing the consequences, is reluctant to this at first but ultimately gives in.”

Nike is currently revolutionizing the way folks design team uniforms, at least in the sport of college basketball — or they are at least trying to. Teams like Syracuse, Kentucky, UConn, Duke and Texas have some pretty wild designs on the backs of their jerseys, something the lead image captures quite well. However, just because something looks good on a jersey doesn’t mean it will look good on a t-shirt.

Azberbaijan-based artist Rashad Alakbarov creates wonderful shadow art using everyday objects and reflecting their shadows to create wonderful cityscapes and portraits.

If you’re in London, you can catch Rashad’s work displayed at the Phillips de Pury Gallery for the “Fly to Baku” group show (ends Jan. 29).

Rashad graduated from the Faculty of Decorative Arts at Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Art in Baku in 2001. The use of shadows in his instllation art has become the primary direction in the artist’s conceptual work, but also dablles in painting, sculpture, theatre decorations, video art and architectural design.
